Year 5 and 6

A big thank you to Joan Sharples who organised a fabulous day for the children. The children in Year 5 and Year 6 have been enjoying the culmination of their topic on Africa. They recently enjoyed making African clay pots which was a very challenging, but enjoyable, activity. This week the children were also working in groups to follow African recipes and cook African food. They all joined in using various skills such as measuring, weighing, chopping, timing, frying and baking. The food they made was delicious. I’m sure they would be happy to cook for the family this weekend!
