Thanks to our Erasmus funding, the children at Shoscombe School benefit from weekly music lessons delivered by a professional music teacher, Mrs Adam.

Our children learn to play and perform  a range of instruments both as soloists and in ensembles. They compose songs and melodies. They also listen to and appraise music from a variety of backgrounds and genres.

Every week, when Covid restrictions allow, Mrs Adam also leads whole school singing in the hall. We are very proud of how well our children sing – they take the roof off each week!

We ensure that all our musicians have opportunities to perform throughout the year, either to their class, in an assembly or in a concert.

What will your child learn in music?
