Music

Thanks to our Erasmus funding, the children at Shoscombe School benefit from weekly music lessons delivered by a professional music teacher, Mrs Adam.

Our children learn to play and perform  a range of instruments both as soloists and in ensembles. They compose songs and melodies. They also listen to and appraise music from a variety of backgrounds and genres.

Every week Mrs Adam also leads whole school singing in the hall. We are very proud of how well our children sing – they take the roof off each week!

We ensure that all our musicians have opportunities to perform throughout the year, either to their class, in an assembly or in a concert.

What will your child learn in music?
