Running Man

Monday 18th March, Jim Cole aka The Running Man visited Shoscombe School.

Jim delivered an amazing, interactive and inspiring assembly to all the children.  He told them wonderful stories about the adventures he has had whilst out running.  He told them how his adventures began and what his dreams and goals are.

After the assembly, the whole school went out for a run.  We had made race numbers in anticipation of Jim’s visit and we took it in turns to run around the school, it was great fun!

Jim visited each class to spend some time answering questions, he also discussed his latest project about helping children to become active with the launch of his Kx365 a day.  This project is to encourage children, adults, entire families and schools to try and do a little bit of physical activity, every single day, for an entire year!

Everyone, both staff and children thoroughly enjoyed Jim’s visit and it was a fantastic way to launch our golden mile at the school.
