Sep 7Beech Class had a very special visit today from Stephen Clews who works at the Roman Baths. We were delighted that Stephen could join us to introduce our history learning this term, the Romans. We discussed our local links to the Romans and explored the Wellow Roman Villa.
This leads us onto our very exciting news! On Friday we will be walking to the Village Hall where we will recreate this villa on the playing field. We will be back for lunch.
Please make sure all children are in school by 8:45am wearing their Hi-Viz jackets. If your child does not have a jacket, please do not worry; we will have some spare at school that they can borrow.

We have all enjoyed getting to know the new members of Beech Class and reconnecting as a team.
Just to let you know, children were sent home today with their reading records. Please make sure these come into school every Friday alongside their reading books (if finished). Books will be changed and sent back home on the following Monday. Each time your child reads please date the relevant box and add your signature, we do not require a comment each time.
Should you have completed your school reading books over the summer holidays, please spend this week reading something from home.
Any questions, please do ask.

We are incredibly proud of the hard work Beech Class have demonstrated through their money containers project in DT. The children have worked brilliantly and have shown huge amounts of resilience and patience throughout learning to sew using a range of stitches. The children produced some wonderful work! What a great achievement to end the term!
