Thai Day

Thai day was a huge success, a big thank you to the year 4 girls and Mrs Crook for all their hard work. The year 4 girls have been working on an equalities project; they won a grant to organize an event at the school that would celebrate differences between different cultures that are represented at our school. The girls chose Thailand. During the day every child had the opportunity to: cook and taste Thai food including Pad Thai Noodles that proved to be very popular; build a replica of the bridge over the river Kwai; design a holiday to Thailand and make and decorate a model Thai elephant. The children learnt a huge amount. We will definitely plan another culturally themed day before the end of the year.
