Our Recovery plan
We know that our children need time to adjust and recover from the impact of Covid-19 on their lives and their education. We have carefully considered how we will do this in our Recovery Curriculum Intent, Implementation and Impact plan that took effect in September 2020.
Shoscombe Recovery Curriculum Intent, Implementation and Impact
Following the second lockdown, we will use Term 4 to evaluate the impact of this lockdown on children’s learning, adapting and adjusting our long term plans for the summer and next year accordingly.
Initially our focus will be on helping children to settle back into school, reconnecting with their friendships as well as recovering in their learning. Teachers are choosing activities based around these key themes:
reconnect – routine – relationships
belonging – confidence – community
Demonstrate, revise and regain understanding – build stamina
Whilst it has been a very positive experience for most children to be returning to school, we understand that for some this has been somewhat overwhelming. Please message your child’s class teacher if you have any concerns so we can work together to resolve these.
